I wanted to write to express our gratitude towards Cherry Lane Montessori and Miss Jessie and her staff. My 4 year old absolutely loves going and the practices they have put in place during this pandemic really puts my mind at ease. I know Miss Jessie cares deeply for her students as we do for her. The outdoor classrooms have also been perfect for summertime giving the kids opportunities to practice social distancing as well as still be a “kid”. It is so important for kids physically and mentally to keep some sort of routine and Miss Jessie has helped us with this.

I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you my experience with the school owner Jessie Ellis and the Cherry Lane Montessori school. Our family actually met Ms. Jessie 3 years ago at a different Montessori school where she was teaching. From the first day she started teaching there till the day she left, Ms. Jessie left an impression on our son that was noticeable from day one, and was greatly missed when she left. Our son just flourished under her and he developed a love for learning that had not been there before. I was very grateful for the time he had with her, and I was very sad when she had left for another school. Hearing through the “grapevine” that she was wanting to open her own school and praying that one day this dream would come true for her. Fast forward to last November, our daughter was having a difficult time and behavioral issues at her preschool. She was bored and needed more than the standard preschool teachings. My husband called all over the valley and Ms. Jessie answered and offered to meet us the next day (on a Saturday). At the time of going to meet with her, I didn’t know who she was, but when we walked into her school I realized she was the same Ms. Jessie my son had loved so much and I was beside myself with excitement. Our daughter has also flourished under Ms. Jessie. She went from not knowing her alphabet to knowing letter sounds and reading two months later. All of the behavior issues we were having are now gone, and our daughter now has a love around learning that had never been there before. Ms. Jessie is a gift and a blessing. She is calm, patient, smart, and just an amazing human. A school under her direction would be a great asset to this area and is something that our children greatly need. Kids are not one size fits all when it comes to learning and what Ms. Jessie offers in her school is unique and not currently found in Ada or Canyon County. It is for all of these reasons and many more that I would like to encourage you to please consider and approve her application for her school. Hello, My name is Linda Jordan. I just wanted to say how excited I am for the Cherry Lane Montessori to be expanded. We have been with them since they opened and we absolutely love it. Mrs Jessie is one of the best teachers we have had. My son will be going again this year and he is so excited. Thank you for letting me tell you about it. We hope to see the new school go up very soon!

I am writing on behalf of Jessie Ellis and Cherry Lane Montessori School. Words can not begin to describe how amazing Jessie is and how special her school is. My daughter attended for a year and absolutely loved the school. Jessie is a special woman who is kind, gentle and supportive of every child and family. We could not have asked for a more safe, loving and educational environment than the one Jessie provided. I know if the school were to expand, more children and families would be able to experience how truly special this school is.
